The speaking course will focus on developing feedback and discussion skills, alongside general speaking and listening skills. We will develop listening for gist and listening for details skills, so that participants will be able to ask and answer questions in a conference or discussion environment. We will build on participants’ existing discussion, listening and speaking skills using TEDtalks and other video media. This course will consist of weekly in-class speaking and listening activities and there will be additional, optional tasks to complete at home and get personalised feedback from the tutor.
