Ok, so you have a great idea about a topic you definetly want to teach to your learners. It is relevant and motivating for the learners, you know what competences of your learners are going to be fostered and you already have an idea what aspect you want to work on in your particular lesson (90 min). After having considered the appropriate use of media and teaching of language phenomenon you will come across the choice of methods...the vast, vast sea of lesson methods.
In this hands-on seminar we will look at a fraction of the method-treasure chest, where and how to apply those methods especially in hybrid settings and how according tools, media and spaces are connected or rather are dependent on the choice of methods. There are theoretical parts to get you equipped but the main focus lies on the creation of a fictional English lesson sequence and a reflected use of method(s).
The idea is that you will present your lessons via practical micro-teaching units to and in co-creation (hybrid tandems) with the course "Analog ELT methods" (4015849) dealing with teaching methods for physical-hybrid learning arrangements and together we will compare/discuss the effectiveness of the applied methods in differing spaces.
