In this seminar in the summer semester 2024 we will study machine learning methods with biological applications. The seminar will be in english.
Each participant will read a (recent) paper, try to understand it with my help and then present the results. Example topics/applications:
Genome foundation models (LLM for nucleotide or protein sequences), 3D structure prediction, pairwise sequence alignment, multiple sequence alignment, gene prediction
