In the previous semester, you learned about linguistic landscapes and their different facets. This class builds on the theoretical foundation established in the previous seminar with a focus on your own research projects.

After an initial block that we will use to discuss how you can collect linguistic landscape data and how such data is analysed meaningfully, you will have ample opportunity to prepare, present, and discuss your research projects. By the end of the class, you should have prepared a group project on linguistic landscapes and, in doing so, hopefully made significant progress in your ability to conceptualize, carry out, and reflect on an empirical research project in linguistics.
