The next uniMIND meeting will take place at the SR301 in Franz-Mehring-Straße 47 of the Psychological Institute on 09 July at 16:15.
In the past few sessions, we have worked intensively on insight moments under psychedelics. We investigated how these arise and which mechanisms can lead to misleading beliefs. We asked ourselves fundamental questions about the meaning of insights and looked at the general risks of psychedelic substances.
In the next session, we will delve deeper into the topics of hypersuggestibility and false insights. What exactly does hypersuggestibility mean and how does it arise under psychedelic influences? How exactly do false insights occur and what implications does this have for the therapeutic framework? These questions are at the center of our considerations.
In this context, we will also take a critical look at the “Dark Sides of Psychedelics” and analyze how false insights can become dangerous belief systems that are and have been used by gurus and cults.
At our next uniMIND meeting we will try to get closer to possible answers and different perspectives on this topics.
