This lecture is designed as an overview of ethical and privacy aspects of Machine learning and Data Science. It covers basics on bias, data ethics, the EU AI-Act, trustworthy Machine Learning, privacy-preserving Machine Learning, AI and sustainability as well as AI and democracy.
The lecture is accompanied by an exercise, where students learn about ethics and privacy issues with hands on experience and programming tasks.
